Home alone, Episode 1

Today was the first day of me without anybody smile_thinking!

Not a great day, but whatever.

I had told the office that I can't make it early there this morning, so when I returned from Airport, I slept up to noon.

I ate the lunch at the office and I came back home almost late, at 8 o'clock. I had some food on the refrigerator(Ghormeh-Sabzy!), so I didn't have to cook.

When I finished with the dinner, I saw the remaining episodes of Prison Break (Season 1). Ooh,  I forgot to say, I've currently finished the Lost, and I started Prison Break right after thatsmile_shades.

I also called my aunt to check if the passengers have arrived.

Now I feel terribly tired and I'm gonna bedsmile_yawn.

Good nightmoon.

PS: The final season of Lost, s***edsmile_confused. It destroyed all the joys of previous onesheart_broken.

Well, back to base!!

IMAGE_009I'm back home, and of course alone.

My family just left and they'll be on Amsterdam in hours.

But something amazing happened in the airport. I saw someone there!! Someone I really care about.

Home alone!

My family are leaving in hours.

I'm going to see them off in the midnight. Their flight will be on 5:15 in the morning and I can guess how happy my aunt and her family are, and how hard it is for them to pass these waiting hours.

Waiting kills man, it definitely kills.

Hope a good trip for them.

I feel terrible! I've lost my Internet connection and I'm not gonna having it back at least till Tuesday, I had a rough day, and I'll have probably another tomorrow. Today had only one half-good point that I don't even wanna talk about it.

Any how, in the morning when I was at the office nor Mohammad neither Peyman showed up. Peyman had his car crashed in the street and Mohammd....

He was ill today.

No, worse, he had a sudden surgery :(( The Appendix.

Wanna know what else went wrong today? I doubt.

Well, maybe the only good point is that he ain't bad now, and he's gonna be better tomorrow.

Departed!

It is more than one year the the "Deperted" is in my queue to be watched;) And finally I got the opportunity to watch it.

It was great, I meant it, greaaaaaaaaat.

From the very first moments up to the end, I had the feeling that the director should be some one I believe into and guess what, here is what was written in the last scene of the movie:

Becoming alone more and more..

All my family are about to go to a trip for almost one month. That means I would become more alone.

Leaving alone isn't just all cons, it its own benefits too. Especially in my situation. I really need 2-3 weeks on my own. I need to be reset and I need it badly.

Well, lets talk about this period later, for now, I just add that they are going to visit some relatives, my aunt actually, in Netherlands. They might also go to visit some other, like my uncle in UK.

Anyway I hope a very nice trip for them, and good time for myself ;)

Entertainment or Torment!?

DSC05531I've just bought my mother a Puzzle, well, a big onesmile_eyeroll. And it contains five thousands piecessmile_omg.

I thought to myself that if she only puts 50 pieces together each day and if she does it everyday, it would take more than 3 monthssmile_tongue to finish.

DSC05527 Yesterday we all (My mother, My sister and me) started doing it. We started by choosing the round pieces and made our way through its center.

From the puzzle's size (150*100cm) I guessed there would be about 300 rounding pieces, but we only found 263 (Maybe we missed some when sieving, cause we only did it once).

Anyway, the three of us were engaged for more than 2 hours, and all we had was about 50 pieces, not connected all together, but in disjoint islands! some with only 2 pieces !!smile_sickDSC05535

P.S: When do you think it's gonna finish!??! Or it might be better to ask, if you even think it's gonna finish!?

My mobile phone

From very first moments of my experience on my P910i, I didn't like it at all. Maybe the only interesting point it had-for me- was the big screen.

Specially, when you've had a full PDA like iPAQ3970, this phone (P910i) is not so much of interestsmile_tongue.

Anyway, at that time, I didn't have any better choices. So I bought it. Besides, after loosing my S700 (Sony-Ericsson) I had convinced my self, not to pay so much for a phone, and this one (P910i) was somehow worth of its price.

The phone was not good at all!!, although many people -my friends, people on the net and so on- liked and even loved it, I didn't like it at all, but there it was, I just had bought it and it was working good enough. The hardware(the way it looked, the material, design and ....) was astonishing, but the software was really a pain in ...

Well, to make the long story short, I really didn't even think of changing my phone, (even when I saw Xperia on the netsmile_thinking) till last week!!!

Last week, a friend of mine wanted to change his Simense S55 and we he started a massive search on what to choose. Finally, he came with the idea of HTC S700 or P3470 (I don't want to mention that he has bought the S700 but is totally dissatisfied with it and wants to change it with the P3470).

Anyway, I'm going to buy onesmile_teethsmile_tongue, and that probably would be HTC Touch Diamond, a cloned version of iPhone (at least a tried to besmile_wink cloned version of iPhone).

Looking for owners opinion and watching the movies, I just found something in common among them:

Cons:

- The battery life is not good;

- it IS slow. -This is even obvious from the video clips on the net;

- It doesn't look like a full PDA. The UI is customized and I've started to think if the OS -in features- is different with what I had on my iPAQ;

- No multitouch (comparing to iPhone).

and Pros:

- The specification (CPU, GPS, Screen size, Resolution, Weight and ...);

- It is indeed nicesmile_shades.

Again, these are not my own experiences, I'm just pointing them according to what I've read or seen on the net.

Most probably, I'll buy it tomorrow, but I just hope, the windows to be really a Pocket PC version...

Can't Believe this (Jennifer Lopez)

I like this:

How can you just say that you love me yet to leave you alone...
You said these walls were here to protect us, but it's still not a home...

All these questions that are burning inside with answers I'll never know...
Cause you're the only one who knows how you feel, but you're not letting me know...

What is it, love?!
Can I help you?!
I see where this has gone and what it's coming to,
I look to you,
Enough....

I can't believe this is me...
Where I can touch and not feel you...
I feel I'm lost in a dream Between what is and what seems Having to face not to need you...
You know you owe it to me...
How can you think we don't need you?!
I'm tired of running away from my fear and the day...
That our life has no meaning...
Without a word or a reason...
Like a coward, you're leaving ...

Sitting here inside an empty room that was filled with us...
Only boxes to define what was left of what we used to call love...
It's sad that after all of this time, you have nothing to say...
Ooh, and the only thing that you could've done, you choose to...
walk away....

I'm thankful, love...
I don't hate you...
Cause I'd rather live and know than what you put me through...
I needed you...
Somehow...

I can't believe this is me...
Where I can touch and not feel you...
I feel I'm lost in a dream Between what is and what seems Having to face not to need you...
How could you do this to me?!
How could you think we don't need you?!
I'm tired of running away from the fear and the day...
That our life has no meaning...
Without a word or a reason...
Like a coward, you're leaving...

I can't believe this is me...
I wasn't wont to believe you...
I feel I'm lost in a dream Between what is and what seems Having to face not to need you...
How could you do this to me?!
How could you think we don't need you?!
I'm tired of running away from my fear of the day...
That our life has no meaning...
Without a word or a reason...
Like a coward, you're leaving...

Loss, motivation or something else ?!

I don't know how many quotes I've heard about failure and loosing, and how to treat them as if they are super:

- Loss is nothing else but change, and change is Nature's delight.

- We are all failures--at least, the best of us are.

- Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat.

- To accomplish much you must first lose everything.

- Born to lose, live to win.

- If you're doing your best, you won't have any time to worry about failure.

- Always imitate the behavior of the winners when you lose.

- Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.

- The essential part of creativity is not being afraid to fail.

- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail.

- Success comes to those who are neither afraid to fail nor discouraged by failures.

- I have not failed.  I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

- Edison failed 10, 000 times before he made the electric light. Do not be discouraged if you fail a few times.

- There is no failure except in no longer trying.

- How you think when you lose determines how long it will be until you win.

- Win lose or draw, I'm having a lot of fun.

- For everything you have missed, you have gained something else, and for everything you gain, you lose something else.

- Supposing you have tried and failed again and again.  You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down.

- Try again.  Fail again.  Fail better.

- Sometimes it's worse to win a fight than to lose.

- You're never as good as everyone tells you when you win, and you're never as bad as they say when you lose.

- Failure doesn't mean you are a failure... it just means you haven't succeeded yet.

- One fails forward toward success.

- One must be a god to be able to tell successes from failures without making a mistake.

- In the publishing business you have to learn to greet failure with the same handshake as you would success.

- Failure is success if we learn from it.

- Remember the two benefits of failure. First, if you do fail, you learn what doesn't work; and second, the failure gives you the opportunity to try a new approach.

- Never give up. Learning from failure is an essential part of the entrepreneur's experience.

- I wasn't afraid to fail. Something good always comes out of failure.

- My reputation grows with every failure.

- Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.

- There is much to be said for failure. It is much more interesting than success.

- ...

But with all due respect to all the writers, philosophers and great great men who has said those words, I want to say:

Failure hurts, and it do hurts bad. It really hurts when you want something and you cant afford it, when you need something and you can't achieve it.

Sometimes it would be momentary, but sometimes it takes a whole life, and you're supposed to carry it with yourself all the way to the end.

Tonight we had our most victorious war with Germans.

We beat four Experts two times in a row and tonight was one of the most successful nights of our skirmishes smile_wink

City in rest!

Today was the middle of an almost one week off.

The city is really nice on such periods. Not much noises, no traffic, clean weather, even no annoying call and ...

Life is all making choices...

It doesn't matter who you are, where you are living, how old you are, what you are trying to do and so on....

Everybody, in different situations of his life needs to make decisions based on his available options and choices.
The more you expand your options, the more you are likely to win.

But sometimes, when there is a wide variety of options available to select form, not only the the chance of success is decreased, but also you will become closer to loose, cause there is a big chance of misleading and confusion!

Much exactly like game theories, when an AI enabled computer wants to play chess for example. The playing algorithm is OK, but the problem is having so many choices.

Another problem is when you're defining success. Where is exactly the deadline which defines success? are success and failure digital or has it a spectrum? can we define clearly what is success in different situations and tell success from failure ?

I was thought (from a big man) a nice expression which helps me in these cases, and that is:

When you're making choices, don't look for the best ones, just see if it is good enough!

Most of the times and almost nearly always, this had helped me and I'm sure it will help, especially when I combine it with Napoleon's idea of either I win, or learn. or with Churchill's:  Success is not final, failure is not fatal ...

But sometimes when you have to make critical decisions, I'm afraid, this might not work, cause some times the failure seems really fatal ...

Having said all this, I'm so sad I can't say really what I mean, but maybe what I said was sufficient enough for me myself...

Was it good news or not :-?

Sunday, I had an interviewee seeking for a job in company. She was just accepted in "Computer Networks" () last year.

I was serious about how she made his priorities, so I asked her about it. But before talking about hers, let me first tell you about mine;

Here is how I made my list:

# University Field Shift Capacity (person)
1 Sharif University Computer Networks 1st 12
2 AmirKabir University Computer Networks 1st 2 !!!
3 AmirKabir University Information Security 1st 3 !!
4 Sharif University Computer Networks 2nd 1 !!!!!smile_whatchutalkingabout!!!!!
5 AmirKabir University Computer Networks 2nd 2 !!!
6 AmirKabir University Information Security 2nd 6
7 Tehran University Information Technology 1st 5
...

I really love to be accepted on one of the first two ones, and my next wish is the second four. So far, there would be place for about 14 people on my first priority and about 26 for my second ones, and I'm the 31th on the list.

Now, let's examine her as an example;

She was ranked 23th and here are their choices in order:

# University Field Shift Capacity (person)
1 Sharif University Computer Networks 1st 8
2 Sharif University Computer Networks 2nd 4
3 AmirKabir University Computer Networks 1st 5

Then she was accepted on the third one. Obviously there was only 17 people needed, but she made it, so it made me think, I might be able to do it smile_thinking

Then you might ask, where is the negative part ?!

It is so clear, take a look, all my hope about this fact that, because many of my predecessors will prefer 1st shifts to the 2nds shifts, so I might be able to get into the 2nd shift of Network Engineering on either Universities. But it seems that, there are still people who much prefer the University name to the shift and course smile_sad

Learning languages?

Before Konkor examination, MohammadHossein introduced me to some nice web sites of practicing English. Actually it was some sort of Community Language Learning!

I really needed some one to check some sentences with once a while, and these kinds of communities will help me in this manner.

But up to now, I didn't have any time to check these communities and see if they'll help.

I just started today, returning to one I'd subscripted before, by the name of: Live Mocha.

It seems one of the best, the way the site looks and the parts which are included gave me a good look and feel ;)

Now I'm not only to going to excel my English in this way, but I'm also willing to start a new languagesmile_teeth, just I doubt if I should start Italiansmile_shades or Spanishisland, any comment?

June 02

A fairly normal day

I asked the company a day off, to take care some university staff. But no big deal. I when I went to university to deliver my project and receive the appropriate documents, I just found that the way we should deliver the projects is changed smile_thinking

Then I tried to contact my high school to see if my diploma paper is ready there, but I missed again.

Heading back home, I just could buy myself a something to wear on incoming weddingheartsmile_winkheart and I did this onesmile_party.

By the way, I've reached Season 3 Episode 5 of lost smile_tongue
